Thank you Cowboy Pride

We are so proud of the Cowboy Pride Marching Band. They worked incredibly hard to develop a meaningful, touching artwork in the 2021 field show “The Phantom of the Opera.” This was not an easy show to master. The music and drill were very challenging. Our post pandemic numbers and instrumentation were not ideal. These students came together and pushed themselves to create a beautiful work of art on the field and we could not be more proud to be associated with such fine people. What makes it even more special is that our students were able to achieve at such a high level despite the trauma and stress they have been through in the past two years with uncertainties, illness, death, isolation, trying to learn online even with lack of training and technology issues, not being able to play their instruments or make music together, and so much more that we don’t even know about. It would be totally understandable- even expected to have a band this season that was not very good- but we didn’t. We had once again “the best band in the land” and we are proud. Thank you Cowboy Pride for an unforgettable incredible season.
